Beloved MESS
Subsidized Tickets
We’re setting aside a pool of subsidized tickets to help bring more voices, bodies, and brilliance into the mix—especially from those who are too often left out of spaces like these. These tickets are for community members who may need a bit of financial relief to make joining the Mess possible.
This includes—but isn’t limited to—BIPOC, trans, genderqueer, and gender non-conforming folks. We’re holding these spots with love, not scrutiny.
Who qualifies?
If you’ve received a low-income or need-based ticket through a similar community-driven event—like Burning Man’s Ticket Aid Program or Something Queer’s Grant program—you automatically qualify for a Beloved Mess ticket (as long as we have availability).
Don’t have one of those? No problem. You can still self-certify your financial need and your connection to the Mystopia or broader allyship/queer/BIPOC community. We won’t ask for tax forms or proof—just honesty and a brief explanation when you apply.
What if I already bought a ticket?
No worries—if you purchase a full-price ticket and are later approved for a Beloved Mess ticket, we’ll reimburse you the difference. Just hang onto your confirmation, and we’ll handle it with care.
How selection works
We’ll begin reviewing self-certified requests after September 1. Depending on how many spots are left, we’ll reach out to confirm ticket offers that week.
If you’re unsure whether you qualify, trust your gut—and if you still have questions, feel free to reach out. We want you here.
