EVENT RULES & TICKET TERMS

General Rules

  • Bring ID
You must bring a government-issued ID for check-in. No ID, no entry.

  • No pets, but service animals welcome
Please leave pets at home. Trained service animals (as defined by the ADA) that perform specific tasks—such as guide dogs or seizure response dogs—are always welcome. Emotional support animals do not qualify.

🟡 Note: You may want to clarify before the event what qualifies as a service animal and what documentation (if any) may be requested. Otherwise, this could lead to onsite tension.

  • Park smart
Unload your gear at your assigned drop-off spot, then move your car to the main parking area as directed by staff. No parking outside designated areas.

  • No vending
This is a gift-based event. Selling or vending of any kind is not allowed.

  • Waiver required
All participants must sign an event waiver. No signed waiver = no entry.

Glass & Pool Rules

  • No glass at all
The venue prohibits all glass items anywhere on the property. Please transfer beverages and other liquids into non-glass containers before you arrive.

  • Ceramic ban in pool areas
No ceramic items within the fenced pool areas, either. (Safety first—nobody wants bare feet and broken mugs.)

  • No solo bathing
There’s no lifeguard on duty. Please don’t swim alone.

  • Rinse off first
Please shower before entering the pool or hot tub.

  • No food in the water
Snacks and splashes don’t mix. Eat outside the pool.

Smoking

  • Smoke only in designated areas
This includes cigarettes, joints, vapes, and anything else you can light or puff. There are multiple smoking zones—please use them.

  • Dispose responsibly
Use the cigarette containers provided in the smoking areas. Don’t toss butts on the ground (we’ll have glitter, not litter).

  • No smoking indoors or around communal spaces
This includes cabins, glamping tents, the lodge, party spaces, and anywhere near the dining hall.

Fire Policy

  • No flames, period
Due to wildfire risk, no fires or open flames of any kind are allowed. This includes candles, camping stoves, lanterns, fire toys (poi, staff, etc.), fireworks, and incense.

Consent & Community Agreements

By attending this event, you agree to uphold the following principles around consent and interpersonal boundaries:

  • Consent is voluntary
Consent must be given freely, without pressure, manipulation, or coercion. Anyone can say no at any time—even if they said yes before.

  • Consent is specific
Saying yes to one thing does not mean yes to everything. Every new act requires new consent.

  • Consent is ongoing
Anyone can change their mind. If they do, you must stop immediately.

  • Consent requires clear communication
Look for an enthusiastic yes—verbally or otherwise. Silence or lack of resistance is not consent.

  • Consent requires capacity
Someone who is intoxicated, unconscious, or otherwise incapacitated cannot give consent.

  • Respect boundaries
Stop immediately if someone expresses discomfort or asks you to stop—verbally or nonverbally.

  • No assumptions
Never assume what someone wants based on past behavior, appearance, or anything else. Ask.

  • Responsibility is shared
If you’re engaging with someone sexually or intimately at WilderMess, it’s your responsibility to ensure there is enthusiastic, mutual understanding and consent.

If you experience or witness a consent violation, please find a staff member immediately. Violating these policies is grounds for immediate removal from the event—without refund.

Ticket Policies

  • All sales are final
No refunds will be issued, even if you change your mind or can't attend.

  • Rain or shine
The event will go on regardless of weather.

  • In case of cancellation
If the event is canceled for reasons beyond our control, we’ll do our best to refund tickets—but a refund is not guaranteed.

  • No scalping
Tickets may not be resold for more than face value.

  • Your name must match your ticket
If you’ve transferred your ticket, please contact us at camp.wildermess@gmail.com to update the name. Tickets with mismatched names may be invalid at check-in.

  • Wristbands required
Everyone must wear their event wristband for the full duration of the event.

  • We reserve the right to remove anyone
The event team can remove any attendee for violating community guidelines, event rules, or staff direction. No refunds will be issued in these cases.

  • Waiver required (again!)
All participants must sign the event waiver before entering the venue. If you don’t, your ticket will be voided without refund.
